Manual therapy involves the manipulation of joints and soft tissues throughout your body. This hands-on technique is not only precise but also personalised to your specific problem and condition.

By applying controlled pressure and movement, our therapists aim to help to relieve pain, enhance your mobility, promote healing and improve functionality.

Exercise Therapy

At Felixstowe Physiotherapy Practice, we take an personalised approach to your condition, starting with an individual prescription of exercise designed specifically for you to improve core stability and posture and helping to keep joints mobile.

We take into account your specific condition, whether it's recovering from an injury or managing mobility issues, our exercise therapy treatments are designed to target the areas that need attention the most to get you back to doing the activities you had previously been doing.

We monitor your progress closely, adjusting the treatment as needed to ensure that you are continually moving closer to your goals.

At Felixstowe Physiotherapy Practice, we provide Biomechanical Assessments utilising exercise therapy and orthotic provision. This comprehensive service is designed to address issues related to your body's biomechanics and ensure optimal function.

We incorporate exercise therapy techniques into your treatment, allowing us to improve your body's movement, joint stability and core strength. We also offer guidance on appropriate sports footwear to help with any issues you may have.

Taping can play a significant role in both assessment and rehabilitation. As part of our assessment process, we may use taping to provide support, reduce pain which can help with your condition.

Electrical equipment, such as ultrasound, may be used to assist in warming and enhancing circulation in soft tissues or joints when appropriate. Enhancing circulation plays a pivotal role in promoting the healing process, reducing inflammation, and alleviating pain.

Furthermore, the enhanced circulation achieved through ultrasound therapy plays a role in treating your condition. By promoting tissue repair and reducing inflammation, it directly contributes to a reduction in discomfort, helping you to get back to doing the things you like to do.

At Felixstowe Physio Therapy Practice, we use Chinese medicine to encourage the body to produce its own chemicals to eliminate pain and promote healing.  Acupuncture is an ancient practice that involves the strategic insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body, known as acupuncture points. These points are strategically chosen based on your individual condition and needs. We have years of experience in offering Acupuncture to encourgage the body to promote it's own healing which plays an important role in pain relief and treating a wide variety of conditions.
